The house

Here's a quick tour of the house. If you want to hear my commentary (which is so imformative by the way...ha ha) you'll need to go to the bottom of the blog and pause the music. Let me know what you all think so far!

Family Pictures

To the right of the blog you will see a bunch of family pictures. We had them taken over Christmas break when Heather was here. We want to thank Trevor and Amy for taking time out of their schedule to take these pictures for us. They turned out great and we are so grateful for their time. Thanks guys!!!!!
P.S. I don't want to hear anything about Heather looking older than me!!! ha ha I know she does and I have finally accepted the fact that I look like I'm 12!!!! Maybe that will come in handy when I turn 40!!!

Our house

I've had quite a few people ask me how the house is going. I decided I would do a little virtual tour this time instead of pictures. The electrician and plumber are done with their rough-in stuff and we've had the electrical inspection. The plumbing inspection should happen any day now. The doors and windows are in on the new part and our contractor has ordered the windows for the old part of the house. The back is completely sided and the west side of the house is half way sided. It is really coming along. I get excited every day to come home and see what they have done. I hope you enjoy the tour!

Christmas 2008

Another Christmas has come and gone and a new year is upon us. Christmas was wonderful because our daughter Heather came home. We haven't seen her since March and it was so great to see her beautiful face. She brought her friend Michael with her and they had a full agenda while here. They seemed to have a great time. We took her back to Boise yesterday so she could catch her flight and it was sad to see her go.
Christmas was tough this year because this was the first Christmas that all of my siblings were not together. My sister and her family stayed back in New York and spend their holidays together. It was hard not having them here but it was a relief to know that they were safe at home and not stranded in some airport due to the weather. We missed them dearly but it sounds like they had a fabulous little Christmas together and were excited to start their own traditions.
We wish everyone a very happy New Year and we pray that it will be filled with dreams come true and more love than you could ever hope for! God bless. Hope you enjoy the updates.

CHRISTMAS AT NANA AND PAPA'S

Christmas morning at the Gambles'

Braxton and Heather opening gifts. It's always such as joy to watch the kids as they rip into their gifts and see the excitment in their faces. The biggest joy I got this Christmas was from watching Heather open a sketching of her siblings that we had done for her. It was done by a very talented artist in Idaho Falls and she couldn't have done a better job! A picture of the sketching is below and it is Heather's stepbrothers, her 1/2 sister, her 1/2 brother and her full sister. I took a picture of the wing of the butterfly because if you look closely you can see Heidi in the top wing and angel in the other wing to honor little Heidi who was still born. The baby in front is Hailey who is Heidi's twin. She lived for almost a year and then passed away. I thought it was absolutely beautiful and I'm so happy with how it turned out.

Christmas with Gpa and Gma Smith

We spent Christmas Eve with our Dad and stepmom. They made dinner for us and it was good to visit with them and get caught up.

The house continued

Our house is really coming along. I can't believe how much has been done. I want to give kudos to JST builders for their dedication for showing up each day ready to work despite the very cold weather we've been having. As you can see they have really done a lot. We're currently stressing about our bedroom/bathroom/closet area. The bathroom is just not working out how I had planned so we're trying to figure out what to do with the closet and bathroom without having to take up more space in our actual bedroom. Wish us luck with that because heaven knows we need it!

Our Oregon Trip

Hey everyone. So we went to Oregeon to see our daughter Heather. She lives in Canby which is about 20 minutes outside of Portland. It is a cute little town and she is doing so well. We had a great trip and it was great to visit with her and see what she has been up to. I posted a slide show of our trip, enjoy!
